What is the Fitness Log?

The Fitness Log is the heart of PhysicsDiet.com. To use the tools on PhysicsDiet.com you need to weigh yourself every day and then enter your weight in the Fitness Log. If you have a Body Fat Analyzer you can also enter your Body Fat %. If you want to track your cardiovascular fitness, you can enter your Resting Heart rate too.

PhysicsDiet.com uses the information in your Fitness Log to calculate your Average Weight, your Body Mass Index (BMI), Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), and Adjusted Metabolic Rate (AMR).

PhysicsDiet.com also uses the information in your Fitness Log to create your Progress Charts.

Average Weight

Your Average Weight is calculated as an exponentially smoothed moving average of all the weights in your Fitness Log. Your Average Weight shows up in your weight chart as the blue line.

Body Mass Index (BMI)

Your Body Mass Index is calculated each day using the weight you entered for that day and the height in your PhysicsDiet.com Profile. If your BMI is 0, make sure your Profile is complete.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)

Your Resting Metabolic Rate is calculated each day using the gender and date of birth in your Profile. If your RMR is 0 make sure your Profile is complete.

Total Energy Expenditure (TEE)

Your Total Energy Expenditure is calculated each day based on your RMR and the Activity Level in your Profile. If your TEE is 0 make sure your Profile is complete.
